Calling all flooring industry stakeholders! 

The first FLOORS in Africa Expo is confirmed for 15-16 May 2025. As the only exhibition on the continent solely dedicated to flooring, it is set to be the foremost event for the industry. A flooring exhibition in Africa, for Africa. 

Who should attend? 

The FLOORS in Africa Expo aims to bring the flooring community together. All leading industry players are welcome, from manufacturers, business professionals, architects and developers, to buyers and contractors.  

“Our intention is to present a premier international B2B trade show for the flooring industry,” says Marlene van Rooyen, chief executive officer of the Media in Africa Group (MIAG).  

The event will be targeting key stakeholders, showcasing innovative products and fostering networking and business opportunities for both attendees and exhibitors. 

Experienced team  

The flooring show is backed by MIAG, which through its FLOORS in Africa publication, has over 4 decades of experience in the flooring sector. As the only specialised publication in this niche market in Africa, it prides itself on being the voice of the industry.  

The group is also known for its Building and Décor online platforms, and its highly successful DAS CPD events. “After talking to the market players, it was clear that the industry needed an event specifically targeted to flooring. With the challenges of the last few years, it was clear that the time was ripe for us to present this expo,” confirms Van Rooyen. 

“The industry has become increasingly fragmented, and the flooring community needs a space to reconnect with each, discuss issues related specifically to us in flooring, and talk to their customers” she adds. 

What to expect 

The expo will be hosted at the Indaba Conference Centre and Hotel in Johannesburg. Accommodation, meeting rooms and breakaway areas, as well as social activities hosted by exhibitors will all take place in this unique village-style setting.
