The Fynbos is Africa’s first biophilic development blending purist sustainability principles with iconic architecture and on-trend detailing. Fabian Architects & Make Studio (FAMA) is the appointed interior architects of this living, breathing building situated on Cape Town’s Bree Street.

Harmonious blend

The project will be a harmonious blend of built and natural environments featuring indigenous Cape flora. This is a unique space created by experts in their fields: Architects, botanists, sustainability experts and landscapers.

The development will feature 689 residential units across 24 floors, with site demolition already in progress. The Fynbos will be a combination of private and public spaces elegantly overlayed on its Bree Street address. The property will form an internal street that will invite people in and make a positive impact on activating this part of the city.

A remarkable design

Designed to be extraordinary in every way, The Fynbos will feature interiors highlighted by urban trendsetting with carbon offsetting. Exceptional finishes and features include Smeg-integrated kitchens, hi-tech touchpoints, terrazzo surfaces and a touch of Art Nouveau-inspired detailing. All in a fynbos-inspired palette of lush greens, warm terracotta’s, cool pale granites and natural timber, embellished with champagne metal fixtures.
