Classen recently received the German environmental Blue Angel label for its latest Neo range.

All classic laminate flooring of Classen carries the German environmental Blue Angel label (Der Blaue Engel) which is one of the most well-known environmental ecolabels in the world. Recently, Classen received this label for its latest Neo range.

Since 1978, “Der Blaue Engel” has set the standards for ecologically friendly products and services which are defined by an independent jury according to specific criteria.

Wood from sustainable, certified forests is used exclusively and the laminate floors themselves are also certified. “In total, 700 designs, 18 surface structures/refinements, eight plank sizes and four different plank thicknesses are produced in this range with a further 20 to 30 products/designs added to this list,” says Carsten Buhlmann, CEO of Classen.

Kirk Marketing, which distributes the Classen range, stocks a diverse range of 29 décors that has been split into seven unique ranges to give specifiers plenty of options.

XXL is the extra-long-plank, top-of-the-range Classen laminate, 8mm thick with a V-groove. The plank size is 2,175m in length by 0,243m in width. Their “6 inch” narrow plank is also 8mm thick with a V-groove. Its plank size is 1,286m in length by 0,160m in width. The narrow plank gives a more traditional and conventional look and is better suited for smaller areas.

The standard-size plank of 8mm thick with a V-groove is 1,286m in length by 0,194m in width. It is specified for commercial and domestic use. The same size standard plank 8mm thick without a V-groove is also available and ideal for commercial and domestic use.

To be more competitively priced with the same specifications as the above 8mm, Kirk Marketing offers a 7mm V-groove. Just above entry level is their 7mm plain plank, size measuring 1,290m by 0,194m. Lastly, Kirk Marketing’s entry-level offering is a 6mm plain-groove plank 1,290m by 0,194m.
