Slim line Terrazzo in wide variety of standard colours and custom colours

Terra-Stone is a technically advanced and chemically modified conglomerate tile, available in a slim line full bodied Terrazzo with a nominal 600 x 600 x 20mm format. The tile is manufactured in a wide selection of standard colours. However, architects and designers can request custom mix designs and border mosaic accessories at a small premium, depending on the quantity required.

Resilient lightweight and versatile

The Terra-Stone range offers an extremely hard-wearing attractive surface, and the “Polished range” is further polished by frequent foot traffic. The Polished and Lava Stone ranges can be rejuvenated 25-30 years later by re-grinding, revealing a brand-new surface, ensuring more than a lifetime of service.

Due to its thin, chemically modified properties, it is 50% lighter in weight than its traditional Terrazzo counterpart and causes less stress loading on high-rise or canter-levered building structures. It is suitable for wall applications.

Classic Polished range for heavy foot traffic

The Classic Polished range is suitable for high foot traffic areas such as shopping malls, commercial buildings, universities, schools and pool surrounds. A unique feature of the Classic Polished tile is that joints and tiles can be smooth ground after laying to achieve a “grooveless” floor finish, making it ideal for easy movement across the floor in shopping centres, airports, train stations and hospitals.

Sustainability in a product manufactured to last the lifetime of your building

Terra-Stone tiles potentially gain credits in both the well-known Green Building rating systems: BREEAM, the UK-based Building Research Establishments (BRE) Environmental Assessment and in the USA, the Green Building certification, LEED® LEADERSHIP in Energy and Environmental Design, managed and developed by the American Green Building Council.

Incorporating Terra-Stone tiles in a building could potentially earn your project Green Star SA points with respect to “local sourcing of materials” ref no MAT- 11 and “low volatile organic compounds of the selected flooring” ref no IEQ-3.
