This was the question of the day on 1 March, when WALLS & ROOFS in Africa and FLOORS in Africa embarked on a roadshow through Johannesburg.
Accompanied by an “Artisan Lolly” minibus, the magazine teams brought cool ice-cream to selected architecture and quantity surveyor firms in the city to give the employees a welcome break and engage with them in person.
This time, the roadshow stops included:
• Boogertman + Partners Architects.
• LYT Architecture.
• DDP Quantity Surveyors.
• GAPP Architects.
• Professional Cost Consultants.
Architect and quantity surveyors had to think on their feet to come up with an answer to the question “What does architecture mean to you?” at the same time being concise! There was also a R500 Woolworths voucher up for grabs for subscribers who updated their details on the day. The lucky winner of this prize is Jason Leong from Boogertman + Partners.
Goody bags filled with information and gifts from the sponsors, as well as a couple of magazine copies, were handed out as another fun surprise.
A big thank you goes out to all the sponsors who helped to make the day a huge success. They were:
• Marley Building Systems.
• Rigifoam Lamdaboard.
• Saint-Gobain Habito.
