A concentrated working environment depends on office acoustic conditions. Optimum room acoustics must always be individually tailored to different rooms and the activities performed in a space in the form of a perfectly coordinated blend of acoustic solutions for the walls, ceilings, furniture and floor coverings.

The theme of a room’s acoustics plays a central role in the holistic design of modern office worlds. This is why ORGATEC 2012, which is taking place from 23 to 27 October this year, will feature numerous suppliers of acoustic solutions.

In addition, the Acoustics Competence Centre in one of the exhibition halls will be offering all those who are concerned about the theme of office acoustics a central contact point. The exhibition area will not only familiarise visitors with a complex theme under the heading Understanding acoustics, but will at the same time also provide a compact overview of acoustic solutions presented by the ORGATEC exhibitors.

The Acoustics Competence Centre is sub-divided into a total of three areas. The focal point is a manufacturer-neutral, central exhibition area, in which know-how cabins explain elementary specialist terminology in the area of room acoustics in keeping with the theme. In a second area the sponsors of the Competence Centre are presenting their products and solutions for motivation and performance-boosting acoustics using compact exhibition modules. This presentation is complemented by so-called showrooms, which form the third area of the competence centre. The range at the Acoustics Competence Centre is also complemented by regular guided tours and lectures on the theme.
