Belgotex Commercial has introduced Versatile, a tough new semi-flexible vinyl tile suitable for virtually any type of installation.
The latest commodity imported by Belgotex, these hardwearing 300 x 300mm square tiles are ideal for use in factories, schools, government and parastatal institutions.
Available in 12 popular colours, Versatile is designed for heavy commercial installations or demanding applications with high footfalls – such as school corridors, public toilets, canteens or fire escape stairwells – the range features a protective PU (polyurethane) surface protection that seals the surface and minimises scratches.
Its superior flexibility (not brittle) and enhanced durability compared to similar vinyl composite tiles (VCT) is attributed to its quartz filler, which coupled with its dimensional stability guarantees accurate sizing for easy, hassle-free installation. This in turn reduces replacement and maintenance and cleaning, making it a truly Versatile flooring solution for enhanced cost savings.
Versatile features a Group F (EN654) wear rating and is thus easily able to withstand the scuffs and scratches of heavy duty machinery, the rough and tumble of school kids’ shoes, even the castors of the catering trolley in the canteen! In addition to the PU coating, Versatile has also been treated with an anti-bacterial and fungicidal treatment for supreme hygiene.
Available in 2mm or 2,5mm thicknesses with a coverage of 6,3m2 and 5,04m2 per box respectively, Versatile is non-slip, insulating and fire-retardant (rating 2 SANS 10177-4) with exceptional dimensional stability – and it won’t show dents or marks from heavy machines or furniture.
It should be fully bonded and installed as per the SANS 10070 code of practice for resilient thermoplastics, in conjunction with the Belgotex/Gerflor installation guidelines to enjoy the 10-year limited year warranty.
