The Flooring Show 2017 is set to take place at the Harrogate Convention Centre from 17-19 September. This year marks the 55th annual Flooring Show and over 180 exhibitors will be attending the event.
There will Demo Zones with demonstrations on subfloor & tools and floor finishes. Subfloor & tool demonstrations will be held in Hall B while floor finishes will be in Hall Q. Specialist advisors on content creation, merchandising and e-commerce will be part of the Business Advice Centre, which is open to all exhibitors and visitors. British Wool and the Campaign for Wool will be hosting a Wool Trends Area that will showcase the benefits of wool products in interior design with a focus on flooring. Wool carpet exhibitors such as Penthouse Carpets Ltd, Brockway, Axminster Carpets, Cavalier Carpets, Adam Carpets, Bondworth & User Carpets Ltd will also be exhibiting in this area.
The Speakers Corner will feature free-to-attend seminars that focus on helping visitors across a variety of topics including marketing products, how to price products, carpet recycling, caring for wool, social media and wool trends. Some of this year’s speakers include David Abbott, Houzz, Federation of Small Business, Steve Phillip and Hattrick PR, among others. Warren Knight is this year’s keynote speaker and he will be discussing how flooring companies can use social media to win new business.
Lined up to deliver CPD seminars at the event are Sika on Wood Flooring Bonding and Houzz on How to Houzz. Houzz will be covering all the fundamentals of how you can grow and manage your company’s online exposure during this session.
The Carpet Fitter of the Year competition will be taking place once again. The finals of the competition will be hosted in the Kings Suite and the six finalists competing for the main title are Darren Ash, Jason Draper, Dan Evans, Rob Harper, Byron Terret and John Wright.
The Contract Zone is a new addition to the event. Featuring a central display of the latest trends and innovations in the contract flooring sector, and surrounded by exhibition stands, this element is not to be missed. The Contract Zone is located in Hall Q and architects, interior designers, facilities managers and contract managers should check out this section to learn about the latest developments in contracting.
