Originally developed for affordable housing, this spray- or brush-applied cementitious coating was found to waterproof, fill and decorate with one single coat, providing an incredibly durable and economical coating and, by developing the ability to spray the product onto walls, it produces a modern looking, durable and waterproof exterior wall coating.

When Carl Muller of Industrial Project Services approached Weber Saint-Gobain for a unique decorative and waterproof coating for houses that could be economically applied, the automatic answer was Weber’s Brush Coat.

Originally developed for affordable housing, this spray- or brush-applied cementitious coating was found to waterproof, fill and decorate with one single coat, thus providing an incredibly durable and economical coating.

Weber Brush Coat is available in a range of ten colours and can be applied as an interior or exterior coating. It is also Agrément certified, having been rigorously tested for its durability and waterproofing properties under all weather conditions.

Industrial Project Services, a company specialising in waterproofing, concrete repairs and coatings, first used Brush Coat on a number of houses in the Serengeti Golf Estate as a damp-proofing slurry. However, by developing the ability to spray the product onto walls, it was found that a modern looking, durable and waterproof exterior wall coating was achieved.

After extensive testing on various substrates, Industrial Project Services was awarded a contract to apply the coating to a house in the Waterfall Estate. Theunis Marais, a Specialised Finishes Product Manager at Weber Saint-Gobain, reiterated that Weber’s Brush Coat is one of the most versatile wall coatings available in South Africa.
