The Southern African Wood, Laminate and Flooring Association’s annual general meeting was held on 22 May 2019. During the meeting, the chairman, Pasi Muzvidziwa, announced that membership had grown by 16.5% over the past year and that one of the organisation’s goals for the next year is to increase membership by another 20%.

“We have many achievements to announce, including registering the SAWLFA as an NPO, a new website and app, FLOORS in Africa magazine publishing articles on our executive team, as well as partnerships with Decorex and the Belgotex Academy,” says Pasi.

The association’s app, once launched, will serve as a communication and information tool for all members. The app will provide access to information such as moisture specifications, screed specifications, training dates and other newsworthy details. During the meeting, the former board was re-elected for the next 12 month period.

“As we embark on a new trajectory in terms of training and skills development, partnerships and marketing, I would like to thank all our board members and the members of the association who continue to provide their time, knowledge and expertise to the SAWLFA,” concludes Pasi.
