David Pierre-Eugene and his team at Discovery won Silver in the 2017 Global Awards for Excellence in Facilities Management (FM) for their 1 Discovery Place entry, submitted on their behalf by SAFMA. Global FM, the worldwide alliance of facilities management membership associations, organises the annual awards in order to place a spotlight on projects where FM professionals helped to support and enable business performance through projects.

Jaclyn Lee, responsible for co-ordinating the awards, said “It was a great privilege to coordinate this year’s awards programme and work with such talented individuals.”

“The submissions for the 2017 Global FM Awards represented extremely innovative projects and strategies that highlight the great advancements occurring in the facilities management industry. Congratulations to all the winners and we look forward to next year’s programme,” Jaclyn added.

The Platinum Award of Excellence in FM went to IFMA (USA) for creating a model for sustainable facilities management at Compass Properties, and the Gold Award of Excellence in FM went to Jack Christensen (USA) for their role in the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission project.
