So much fun: ‘Artisan Lollies’ were handed over to various specifiers at numerous architectural firms.

This year’s Architect Roadshow in the Pretoria environs (the other two will be held in JHB and CT respectively) saw an “Artisan Lolly” mini-bus visit several Architectural firms. Each employee was greeted with a great deal of goodness and laughter, along with a decadent array of ice-cream lolly options, which could also be dipped into chocolate or caramel sauce and covered in almond flakes or crushed peanuts.

In its third year, this roadshow once again showed to the architects that Media in Africa cares about them, their work, their practices and their wellbeing. “We followed on the very successful events we had the past two years and really outdid ourselves, combining a very cool experience with informal information sharing,” says Marlene van Rooyen, Editor of Walls & Roofs Magazine. “Our sponsors again had the opportunity to put their brand and marketing collateral in front of the architects and be part of bringing them a fun experience. It’s not always about what you say to people; sometimes it’s just about how you make them feel! And we want to make them feel special and appreciated.”

The idea behind this roadshow is for brands to treat architects to a fun-filled morning with decadent ice-lollies and design inspiration. “Our readers work very hard, and architectural professionals these days are under tremendous time pressure and stress to perform,” Marlene highlights. “This is why we wanted to bring some fun and joy to their day and share important industry information.”

According to Roxanne Mancini, Editor of Floors Magazine, the Roadshow gives brands an opportunity to link themselves with architects, whom they wouldn’t necessarily be able to meet face to face. “It’s a win-win for everybody,” she continues. “The Roadshow ultimately leaves the specifier with a feel-good experience relating to the branding goals of the sponsors on board.”

Media in Africa embraces opportunities such as these to speak with the industry and get to know the industry players and what they as a company and as an individual aim to achieve. Their stories inspire us to continue offering the best content that services the needs of everyone in the industry. “We look forward to the next Architecture Roadshow, and are excited to meet and greet each individual in a fun and relaxed setting.”
