Developed specifically for energy-efficient building, Pratliperl is a lightweight, thermally insulating and fireproof cement aggregate that can double a wall’s thermal insulation.
When mixed with ordinary cement, two 16mm layers of Pratliperl plastered onto the interior and exterior surface of a wall gives the same thermal insulation as a double brick (220mm thick) wall. In the loose state, Pratliperl has a conductivity (K) value of 0,05W/m.K., which is 20 times more insulating than ordinary plaster sand.

Pratliperl concrete is ultra-lightweight with practical concrete densities ranging from 300kg/m³ to 800kg/m³, depending on the mix ratios.

With a refractory melting temperature of 1 250°C, Pratliperl has exceptional fire resistance. Since it is inorganic, it doesn’t release smoke or toxic fumes during a fire. Additionally, unlike ordinary concretes, under fire conditions Pratliperl exhibits no tendency to spall.

The secret to Pratliperl’s fantastic features lies in the volcanic raw material that is used to produce the product. When processed, the result is millions of tough beads comprised of a froth of glass-walled closed cells, each enclosing a partial vacuum, which gives it unrivalled insulating and fireproofing properties.

Pratliperl’s insulating, lightweight and fireproofing properties, together with its ease of use, make it ideal for producing lightweight, thermally insulating plasters and concrete.

Just a couple of Pratliperl uses include:
•    Thermally insulating plaster.
•    Lightweight thermally insulating screeds.
•    Lightweight floors on high-rise buildings.
•    Thermally insulating roof decks.
•    Fire seals and fire barrier walls.
•    Pizza oven liners.
