New Touch Design TUFTWEAVE range launched at the Radisson Blu Gautrain Hotel in Sandton.
On 22 October 2015, Belgotex Floors launched their Touch Design TUFTWEAVE range at the Radisson Blu Gautrain Hotel in Sandton. Managing Editor of FLOORS in Africa magazine Liezel van der Merwe and Editor Roxanne Mancini attended this elegant event, which saw Dion Chang, as keynote speaker, present on gaining insight into International Décor Trends in Hospitality.
Dion is one of South Africa’s most respected trend analysts who takes the unique view of “trends as business strategy”. His trends company, Flux Trends, specialises in understanding consumer mindset and identifying unexpected business opportunities within shifting trends, ensuring that global trends have relevance when translated for South African business. He discussed trends in the future and how they will impact the world and the hospitality industry more specifically, evoking topics such as technology that provides an on-demand economy with “transumers” as the new consumers who are driven by experience.
After his insightful presentation, the new Touch Design TUFTWEAVE was introduced to an excited and inquisitive audience. This new collection is available in three ranges with no minimum quantity and five stock colours, all with Stainproof SDX yarn technology.
Touch Design is a collection of luxurious, patterned, tufted carpets ideal for smaller upgrades or refurbishments in the hospitality and corporate sectors. Three abstract patterns, namely Abstract, Chaos and Sixth Sense, in five standard colours, offer detailed design and colour definition in popular neutral shades, with four additional non-stocking colours for a brighter, bolder selection.
Besides its Stainproof SDX yarn characteristics, the Touch Design TUFTWEAVE is also treated with Silvercare – a long-lasting protection system, with a base of silver ions that penetrates deeply and provides a protective coat that lasts the lifetime of the carpet.
This new collection is an exciting addition to the already vast ranges offered by Belgotex Floors. Simply put, the hospitality industry is made unique through these soft flooring solutions.
“Belgotex Floors can be considered a disruptor in the flooring industry as they continue to take an innovative approach, which is what inspired their usage of hi-tech manufacturing technology such as the design and pattern definition capacity of their new machinery, which enables them to provide ‘on-demand custom carpeting’ to their customers when they need it and in a manner or design that they need or want it,” says Helen de Villiers, Marketing Manager at Belgotex Floors.
