Fotakis Brothers, which is run by two families that have been in the flooring industry for over 90 years combined, recently relaunched their brand.

The new Fotakis Rugs and Floors is proud to showcase a completely new logo, a state-of-the-art, user-friendly website, as well as an exciting new showroom in Olivedale, Johannesburg.

Karl Stefano says that the new showroom is geared towards designers, architects, interior decorators and speciality floor buyers.

“Our flooring products, especially our rugs, are renowned in the industry and our new conveniently-located showroom hopes to bring these products to the attention of more of our clients. Our rugs are all imported, consisting of machine made and natural products,” says Karl.

The showroom was opened in November 2017 and the official launch was held in February 2018. Various retail stores, interior designers and decorators attended the evening function and the feedback that Fotakis Rugs and Floors received was overwhelmingly positive.

“There’s definitely a gap in the market for showrooms where professionals in the built environment can browse high-end, imported products. We also have a meeting room and a comfortable lounge area where our clients can connect with their own clients to discuss decorating plans, product options and other criteria that go into flooring specifications,” says Karl.

Some of the company’s beautiful rugs include artisan-made inspired rugs that have been powerloom-woven for long durability and pile resistance; flatwoven rugs on knitwork and “macramé” to create a textured and 3D look; high pile luxury rugs as well as rugs created by interweaving the warp and weft on punja looms, among other interesting products.

“We look forward to welcoming more key players in the industry to our showroom. Be sure to visit our website and follow us on social media for updated info about our products,” concludes Karl.
