Pretoria factory boasts state-of-the-art technology to deliver custom designs.

The exciting new tile trends, as seen at Cersaie and Cevisama, feature printed decorative tiles in graceful adaptations of floral motifs, intricate and textured patterns, a continuation of the vintage and wall paper themes for walls and floors as well as a wide variety of kitchen motifs.

Studio Del Mei di Arte Ceramica, situated in Pretoria, is the oldest local manufacturer of quality wall and floor decorative tiles for domestic and commercial applications. It prides itself on keeping up to date with the latest tile fashions, with its talented designers craftily applying the hottest styles for local environments.

“Our showroom in Koedoespoort features displays of our latest designs, the various tile sizes and borders, as well as different textures and glazing, which allows architects and interior designers to explore our range while thinking about their own design requirements,” says Rita Del Mei-Papadopoulos, co-owner of Studio Del Mei.

Boasting state-of-the-art technology, including three automatic printing lines and two fast firing kilns, the factory is capable of producing 700m² of decorative tiles per day.

“We are also geared to manufacture tiles to specification, even for small areas. A minimum order quantity of 20m² is required, and our factory can deliver within two weeks. This provides architects with the opportunity to really do something different and create unique designs specifically created to fit their building ideas,” adds Del Mei-Papadopoulos.
