PLAYSaFE, a registered brand of Seamless Flooring Systems, has been extremely successful in using recycled rubber and turning it into flooring which meets the fall safety regulations in place throughout the world.
Currently PLAYSaFE is undergoing laboratory trials using coloured pigments to colour the recycled rubber floor into a myriad of exciting UV-stable colours.
Seamless Flooring Systems, the company behind the successful Quartz Carpet brand; Quartz Carpet Fine Grain Stone Flooring; and PLAYSaFE, its safety rubber brand, believes that with the correct understanding of the chemical and waste ingredients, waste materials could be engineered to suit almost any flooring specification.
If rubber can be successfully recycled and turned into flooring, there must be possibilities for other natural or waste products, such as sawdust, metal, glass, fabric, plastics, cork and nylon to be used in the same way. The objective is to create a floor that uses waste materials and recycles them to create an environmentally responsible floorcovering option, which is sustainable.
