Developed to enable easier, quicker and more cost-effective brick and block making, Durabrick 32,5R facilitates rapid demoulding turnaround times.
With this new innovative cement product, Lafarge South Africa, a member of the global LafargeHolcim group, not only demonstrates its presence from inception to creating lifestyle spaces, but also exhibits an understanding of the needs of the concrete brick and block business sector.

Durabrick helps brick and block manufacturers to increase their daily product outputs since the bricks and blocks are drying quicker than before, thereby allowing handling much sooner. Workability of the mix is also improved when using Durabrick, and the better compaction of the product reduces breakage losses and improves strength and surface texture.

Listening to our end-user customers means being innovative in satisfying their needs, and ensuring they have the optimum grade of building material for their specific manufacturing operation or building project.

The innovative formulation of Durabrick marks another success for the technical and laboratory resources of the company’s Quality Department Southern Africa (QDSA). QDSA operates one of the largest and most respected South African National Accreditation System (SANAS) accredited civil engineering testing facilities in South Africa. Complying with ISO/IEC 17025, the facility has a proud 22-year track record of continuous accreditation.

Being able and willing to contribute to the success of a customer’s business has come to be a core attribute of the Lafarge cement team in line with its corporate banner, ‘Building better communities’.

Lafarge focuses on providing solutions to help the sustainable development of better communities that benefit the country’s people. Through having a strong presence in all of its business lines, the company is in a unique position to contribute to urban construction, while also helping to build better cities, rural towns and villages.
