Success follows Floors magazine into 2016.
It is with great excitement that FLOORS in Africa can announce that their readership has grown by an impressive 124% in readership and that they currently top the ABC architecture readership category.
The magazine was audited by The Audit Bureau of Circulation (ABC) for the period July-December 2015 with distribution figures of 16 525. The distribution figures for the same period in 2014 stood at 7 372, clearly highlighting the impressive increase.

Another arena experiencing significant growth is Media in Africa’s digital platforms. Their Facebook page is nearing 800 000 fans (www.facebook.com/buildinganddecor) and the Twitter page has over 2 000 followers (www.twitter.com/buildinganddecor). In January alone, 1 009 339 people engaged with the Facebook page, which shows very high engagement on this platform.
Their website (www.buildinganddecor.co.za) boasts an average of between 20 000 – 30 000 unique visitors every month, with February 2016 boasting a total of 55 731 unique visitors and 78 440 number of total visits. 15 000+ people are also subscribed to the monthly newsletter.
“Engaging with our fans and asking what they want is always the driving force behind any of our platforms,” notes Tania Wannenburg, Digital Manager at Media in Africa. “We take note of what they ask, share, like (and dislike) and structure our content around it.”
Both Editors, Liezel van der Merwe and Roxanne Mancini, are delighted at the growth and challenge all “Print is dead” statements. On the contrary niche B2B titles are on the increase.
