Marley Building Systems introduced four new fibre cement and lightweight construction solutions at the African Construction Expo.
Setting out to change the face of construction as we know it, at this year’s African Construction Expo, Marley Building Systems launched a new and innovative portfolio featuring the latest fibre cement and lightweight construction solutions.
Marley Building Systems maximised their participation in the African Construction Expo through tailor-made launch sessions that were attended by industry veterans. During the sessions, guests listened to a keynote address from Etex marketing and technical solutions manager, Juan Lugo, who announced the inclusion of the Marley Roofing brand under the Marley Building Systems umbrella.
“Marley Building Systems is well positioned as a major player in superior building products with deeply entrenched roots in the industry since 1905,” says Lugo.
With a key focus on providing sustainable solutions for affordable housing, coupled with years of expertise and experience, the introduction of these solutions makes building limitless. The new products added to the fold include Equitone, Kalsi, Siniat and Marley Roofing.
The Equitone facade materials are designed by and for architects. Every Equitone panel is unique, showing the raw, untreated texture of the fibre cement base material. No matter what design options are explored, the through-coloured nature of Equitone assures crisp, monolithic details to any building facade.
Signifying health, durability and quality, Kalsi Fibre Cement materials are produced without asbestos fibres and are world-renowned for their straightness, flexibility and ease of installation. These products are used as part of a dry-construction system in commercial, residential and industrial markets.
This global brand of plasterboard and drywall systems forms part of the Marley Building Systems offering. With more than 25 years of experience in drywall construction on building sites around the world, excellence is achieved through continual investment in technology to produce drywall products of the highest quality that meet both national and international standards.
Marley Roofing has many years of experience in the roofing industry, working with some of South Africa’s leading roofers. The company provides a wide range of roofing products, which includes concrete and clay tiles, as well as the more modern fibre cement slates, to offer an all-round roofing service.
Looking forward, Marley Building Systems will be rolling out these new products across other provinces including KwaZulu-Natal and Cape Town in the near future.
“Since 1905, Etex has been constantly working on reaffirming their position as leaders in sustainable and affordable building solutions aimed at pushing the boundaries of conventional building methodology. The launch of these products into our fold will not only reiterate our standing as leaders, but also give the building industry much-needed revitalisation,” adds Marley Building Systems’ commercial manager, Sean Singh.
