Coverland was named the Aesthetics Excellence Winner in the Roof Tiles category at the CMA Awards for Excellence 2018.
Their project entry, the Eastlands Lifestyle Estate is a future-forward retirement estate for people transitioning from having careers to active retirement. The upmarket homes are set in expansive landscaped parklands with walking trails, large ponds and many indigenous plants that attract birdlife.
Coverland’s Perspective Slate Grey White Farmhouse tiles were specified to complement the overall architecture in the development and enhance the tranquil feel of the Estate.
The Perspective range of concrete tiles provide a clean and smooth countenance to the architecture of a building and a metrical undulating contour, offering more character than that of a plain, flat tile. The tile’s modern aesthetics are further balanced with functionality and a high level of protective performance against harsh weather conditions.
The tiles were installed by Delmar and the quality of workmanship added to the professional look and feel required by the developers.
Why the judges chose this winner
The CMA Awards judging panel commended the interesting colour selection which, in their view, “compliments the buildings and surrounding very well and contributes to overall aesthetics”.
