19th edition of DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR to take place from 21-23 March 2017.

The 19th edition of DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR will take place from 21-23 March 2017 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. According to a recent press release, the booked exhibiting space less than 8 months before the show is 13.3% larger than the space booked for the same period last year.

Exhibitor registration for the upcoming edition started with the newly launched 2-year contract in the last expo, which was chosen by 41% of the eligible exhibitors. This group of exhibitors, together with the ones who re-booked on site during the 2016 show, account for 62.8% of the exhibiting space for 2017.  

DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR is seeing an increased demand for participation from international companies. To date, international brands occupy 31.7% of the total confirmed exhibiting space. Leading global brands such as Armstrong, Gerflor, KCC, KDF, LG Hausys, Nox, US FLOORS and Windmoeller showing resilient flooring; Amorim, Alsapan, Classen, French Timber Association, Haro, Swiss Krono Group and Valinge displaying wood flooring; and Balta, Boyteks, Jaipur, Nishaburi, Oriental Weavers and Suminoe exhibiting carpets, have already signed up for DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR 2017. Five country pavilions (Belgium, India, Pakistan and USA – American Floorcovering Alliance in the carpet sector and National Wood Flooring Association in the wood sector) have also confirmed their return to the 19th edition of the show.

The exhibition ground will comprise of twelve halls of which five are dedicated to carpet and rugs, four to wood, laminate, cork, bamboo, other hard floors and FloorTech, and three halls to resilient floorings for commercial, industrial and residential purposes. Special areas for the manufacturers of ceramic tiles and Wood Plastic Composite (WPC) – outdoor decking – will be created for the first time in the heart of some of the most popular halls in the wood sector.

DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR 2016 gathered 1 303 exhibitors from 40 countries and attracted 50 398 trade visitors, of which 11 963 were international, from 106 nations. The 2017 edition is expected to continue its successful route, attracting even more professionals and offering the flooring world a unique platform to access and do business in Asia-Pacific, the biggest flooring market in the world.
