Celebrating its 15th anniversary, WALLS & ROOFS treated clients and partners to an inspiring morning that set the tone for the next 15 years.
WALLS & ROOFS in Africa celebrated its 15th year of existence with a classic champagne breakfast event at Forum Homini, joined by clients and partners who have been part of the magazine’s journey thus far.
Within the tranquil setting of the roots restaurant, removed from the city’s hustle and bustle, WALLS & ROOFS editor, Marlene van Rooyen, reflected on the many highlights over the years.
“Our 15th year has not only been a milestone year, but the magazine’s circulation also grew with 52% in just the first half of the year, making it the top-read publication in the architecture category of B2B magazines audited by South Africa’s Audit Bureau of Circulation (ABC),” she states.
“In addition, in keeping with the trends, the magazine now boasts a brand new logo and new look – the biggest change since the magazine’s inception.”
In line with the magazine’s commitment to stay relevant and up-to-date, attendees were treated to an inspiring presentation by trend forecaster, Dave Nemeth, on futureproofing your business and marketing in an age of disruption. Thereafter, Media in Africa’s digital manager, Tania Wannenburg, busted some myths regarding social and digital media, providing valuable insight necessary for successful digital strategies.
“Thank you to all our clients, partners and fans for pushing us to be great,” says Van Rooyen. “To those who haven’t yet, join us for the next 15 years.”
