It is out with the pink and in with a different signature colour for each of the Isabella’s Cake and Food Shop franchises.

In a project dubbed “A new shade of pink”, the Isabella’s Cake and Food Shop franchises are rebranding, with each store expressing its own personality and adding value elements relevant to the area in which the store is located.

A new shade of pink
Except it’s not pink, as is typically associated with the Isabella’s brand. Each store is being designed with its own signature colour combined with the bold black and white that has become synonymous with Isabella’s. The characteristic Bohemian décor, heritage brand emblems and over the top abundance will remain core characteristics of the interiors.

The new look features designer furniture, customised wallpaper and indoor gardens. Not just a cake shop anymore, the brand has also partnered with affiliates in the fabrics and gifting trade to expand the in-store customer experience.

“We love abundance! Our new look caters for that ethos,” says marketing manager, Ilse Pretorius.

Change in motion
Franchisor Anelda Martin collaborated with Letsi Galvin from Urban Concept Interiors on the refurbishment of the Silverlakes and Waterkloof shops in Pretoria, as well as the fit-out of the new Willowbridge store in Bellville, Cape Town. The remaining stores will be revamped during the course of 2016.

“We love giving people something to talk about. Isabella’s has always been known as a treat for all the senses (sight, taste, sound) and we pair our in-store experience with excellent service, food and sweet treats,” Martin states.
