Source Interior Brand Architects achieved remarkable and contemporary interiors at the Radisson Blu Hotel and Residence in Cape Town. The interior architects used a colour palette of only six colours for the bespoke MONN carpeting for the entire project.

The new hotel by one of the world’s top ten hotel groups, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group is part of an office-block to hotel conversion project. Once known as the Triangle House, the space that is now occupied by the Radisson Blu Hotel and Residence is an iconic landmark building in Cape Town.

Jack Martin from Monn Carpets says the new hotel is the ideal spot to meet with friends or colleagues for a coffee or to unwind with a cocktail after a day at the office.

“Working closely with our Cape Town office, the design team at Source used a bespoke MONN 9 Row Axminster carpet for the Sea Street Bar and Lounge, which drew its inspiration from water-colour renderings of contemporary artwork,” says Jack.

All the carpeting for the hotel was created for this project specifically. A variety of strong, timeless and contemporary graphic designs have been used throughout the passages and public areas, while the guestrooms were fitted with a bespoke MONN 7 Row Axminster construction in an enlarged hounds’ tooth pattern.
